Boss Sign Group is seeking an experienced Signage Graphic Designer – Production & Pre-Production with robust signage industry knowledge, technical drawing skills and production file preparation experience.

This role involves preparing customer approval drawings, detailed shop drawings and accurate manufacturing files for CNC routing, laser cutting, printing and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed signage elevations, customer approval drawings and technical shop drawings.

- Interpret architectural plans, site measurements, photographs and technical specifications.

- Convert approved artwork into accurate, production-ready files.

- Prepare files for CNC routing, laser cutting, large-format printing and fabrication.

- Develop construction and fabrication details for 3D letters, illuminated signage, lightboxes,



ACM panels and other signage products.

- Determine suitable materials, construction methods and fixing systems.

- Ensure drawings and production files are accurate, practical and ready for manufacturing.

- Identify and resolve technical or production issues before manufacturing.

- Work closely with our design and production teams to ensure jobs progress efficiently.

- Provide hands-on technical and production support in the workshop when required.

About You

Essential Requirements

- Proven experience working in the signage industry.

- Strong technical understanding of signage construction, materials and manufacturing processes.

- Demonstrated experience preparing signage approval drawings, shop drawings and production-ready files.

- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, site measurements and technical specifications.

- Proficiency in CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator or similar design and production software.

- Understanding of fabrication methods, fixing systems and manufacturing requirements.

- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and collaborate with a production team.

Highly Regarded

- Experience setting up and operating CNC routers, preferably MultiCam machinery.

- Experience preparing CNC routing and laser cutting files.

- Hands-on experience in signage fabrication and assembly.





- Experience with illuminated signage, fabricated letters and ACM cladding systems.

You don't need to be an expert in every area, but you must have a solid understanding of how signage is designed, constructed and manufactured.
