Teacher and Curriculum Leader – Physical Education and Health

The College is seeking applications from qualified teachers registered with the Queensland College of Teachers for a permanent, full-time Middle Leadership position commencing January 2027.

Downlands College is an independent, Catholic, coeducational, day and boarding school for students in Prep to Year 12. Requirements

The Curriculum Leader is responsible for providing strategic leadership of the Physical Education and Health department.

Qualifications to teach Year 7 to 12 subjects in the areas of physical education and sport and recreation.





Confidence in extending and enriching student learning.

Knowledge and understanding of the AITSL Qualified Standards and their relevance to effective teaching and learning.

Registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.

A willingness to teach Religious Education may be beneficial.

A willingness to become involved in the College co-curricular program is also essential.

$86,600 – 124,724 per annum plus super and Middle Leadership Tier 2C ($16,274)
