Pharmacy Assistant - are you a potential Retail Manager?

Potential locations in the vicinity of Berwick and Mount Waverley or surrounding eastern suburbs.

- We are looking for mature, responsible and motivated pharmacy retail assistants who have the ambition, ability and confidence to lead a pharmacy retail team.
- You don't necessarily need previous Retail Manager experience. We are interested in what you can bring to the role, your leadership potential and your willingness to take responsibility.

These are opportunities for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant who wants to progress beyond their current position and take on greater responsibility for the day-to-day running of a pharmacy's front-of-shop operations.

Working closely with the Pharmacy Manager or Owner, you will help lead the retail team, maintain high customer service standards and contribute to the pharmacy's overall performance.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

- Leading, supporting and motivating the pharmacy retail team.
- Helping organise staff duties, rosters and daily retail operations.
- Ensuring customers receive friendly, professional and helpful service.
- Maintaining effective stock control, merchandising and product presentation.
- Supporting promotional activities and sales initiatives.
- Assisting with staff training and team development.




- Monitoring retail performance and identifying opportunities to improve sales and profitability.
- Maintaining appropriate retail procedures and compliance standards.

What You will ideally have:

- A minimum of five years' experience working in a community pharmacy.
- Completed S2/S3 training and relevant retail pharmacy training.
- A sound understanding of pharmacy front-of-shop operations.
- The maturity, reliability and judgement to accept greater responsibility.
- Good communication and people skills, with the confidence to guide and support colleagues.
- A positive attitude, initiative and a willingness to learn.
- An interest in developing your management and leadership skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to the wider pharmacy team.

Previous Retail Manager experience is an advantage, but it is not essential for the right candidate.

We are particularly interested in experienced Pharmacy Assistants who have already demonstrated leadership qualities, take pride in their work and are ready for a new challenge.
