voco Darwin Suites is seeking a proven and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team.

As Housekeeping

Manager, you are responsible in overseeing all cleaning operations, staff management, and hygiene maintaining a high standard of appearance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Determine work requirements, assign daily tasks, and manage rosters, attendance records,



and leave for service workers such as housekeepers, porters, and doorpersons

Oversee unit performance, monitor service standards, and suggest operational improvements or workflow changes

Confer with senior management and other hotel departments to align room availability, events, guest arrivals, and back-of-house support

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new room attendants, supervisors, and cleaning personnel

Formulates rotating rosters and daily shift schedules to match occupancy rates, special events, and peak seasons

Monitors staff productivity, conducts performance evaluations, and delivers ongoing coaching or recognition

Conducts regular, detailed inspections of guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, and public areas using strict brand or health checklists

Addresses guest complaints, resolves cleaning deficiencies on the spot, and tracks cleanliness scores

Reports structural malfunctions, furniture damage, or plant/engineering issues to the maintenance department

Tracks inventory levels for cleaning chemicals, amenities, and linens, placing orders and managing vendor relationships

Develops and monitors the departmental budget, balancing labour and material costs with occupancy demands

Key Qualifications and Requirements

Must have proven hospitality experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role

Must have solid leadership and organisational time-management skills

Deep familiarity with luxury or commercial hygiene standards, room inspection protocols, and chemical/safety regulations

Skills on problem-solving, budgeting

Strong and effective verbal andwritten communication skills

Strong attention to detail
