Make a practical difference to leaders, employees and the communities Carinity serves.

- Broad, hands-on generalist HR partnering role
- Monthly RDO supporting genuine work-life balance
- PBI not-for-profit salary packaging that may increase your take-home pay

About the opportunity Carinity is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner who enjoys being close to the business, working through real workforce challenges and helping leaders build confident, capable teams.

This is a varied generalist role supporting leaders across Carinity’s diverse and geographically dispersed services, including education, disability, community, youth and aged care. You will work across the employee lifecycle, balancing practical day-to-day advice and case management with workforce planning, leader coaching, process improvement and organisational change.

Rather than simply providing advice, you will work alongside leaders to understand the issue, assess the risks and develop practical, fair and sustainable solutions.

What you will do

- Partner with operational and site-based leaders on workforce priorities, employee matters and local people challenges.
- Provide practical advice on performance, conduct, attendance, wellbeing and workplace concerns.
- Coordinate employee relations case management, including investigations, performance improvement and disciplinary processes.
- Coach leaders through challenging conversations, early intervention, documentation and defensible decision-making.
- Interpret modern awards, enterprise agreements, employment legislation and organisational policies.
- Use workforce information such as turnover, absenteeism,

rostering patterns and capability gaps to identify risks and support practical responses.
- Contribute to workforce planning, organisational change and service improvement initiatives.
- Help improve HR tools, processes and self-service resources so leaders can manage routine people matters confidently.
- Work collaboratively with HR colleagues, Payroll, Finance and Work Health and Safety to support consistent and reliable people practices.
- Visit Carinity locations, including regional services, to provide practical on-site support when required.

About you You are an experienced HR generalist who combines sound employment relations knowledge with practical judgement and a genuine ability to build trusted relationships.

You will bring

- A tertiary qualification in human resources, employment relations, business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Generalist HR experience supporting operational leaders, ideally across multi-site or geographically dispersed services.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements and contemporary employee relations practice.
- Experience supporting workplace investigations, performance management, disciplinary processes and other complex employee matters.
- Strong coaching and influencing skills,

with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and build leader capability.
- The judgement to assess risk, maintain confidentiality and escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately.
- Robust written communication, case documentation and organisational skills.
- Confidence using HR information systems, Microsoft 365 and digital self-service tools.
- A current Australian driver licence and the capacity to travel between Carinity locations as required.

Experience in aged care, community services, disability, youth services, education or another regulated environment would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Why Carinity? At Carinity, we believe that true care begins with seeing the person — not just their needs, but their story, their strengths, and their hopes. Every interaction is an opportunity to offer kindness, dignity, and respect that goes beyond the moment.

Whether we’re providing aged care, walking alongside young people, supporting families, or offering spiritual comfort, our care is deeply personal. We take the time to listen, to understand and to respond — because meaningful care should be based around your unique needs.

And because we care personally, the impact lasts. It’s felt in the confidence of a student finding their path, the peace of an older person feeling safe and valued, and the strength of a family supported through life’s challenges.

With our Christian faith at the heart of everything we do, Carinity is here to make a difference — one person, one moment, one lasting impact at a time.
