We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intern Pharmacist to join the team at Euroa Pharmacy. This is a full-time position based in Euroa, VIC 3666, offering you a valuable opportunity to complete your pharmacy internship whilst working in a community pharmacy setting. As an Intern Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacy operations, gaining practical experience in dispensing, patient care, and pharmacy practice under the supervision of our registered pharmacists. This role is essential in helping us deliver excellent pharmaceutical services to our local community.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting registered pharmacists with the dispensing of medications, including checking prescriptions and preparing medications for patients
- Supporting the maintenance of pharmacy stock, including receiving, recording and storing pharmaceutical items in accordance with pharmacy standards
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, answering general enquiries and directing complex questions to supervising pharmacists
- Learning and adhering to all relevant legislation, regulations and professional standards that govern pharmacy practice
- Assisting with medication counselling and patient education under pharmacist supervision
- Supporting the organisation and maintenance of pharmacy systems and documentation
- Contributing to the overall smooth operation of the pharmacy and maintaining a safe, clean and professional environment
- Completing required internship documentation, logbooks and reflective practice records as part of your accreditation requirements

What we're looking for

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited pharmacy degree programme and seeking to complete your internship year
- A strong commitment to professional development and a genuine passion for pharmacy practice and patient care




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare professionals and colleagues
- Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling medications and pharmacy records
- A proactive and reliable approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems, processes and best practices in community pharmacy
- Demonstrated understanding of pharmacy ethics and patient confidentiality requirements
- Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy community pharmacy environment
