We have a current chance for an ICT System Administrator , on a contract basis within the Defence sector. The role is based in Edinurgh, SA .

DSS Skill Set: Level 3 - Systems and Software Engineering - Software Engineering The System Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

- Architecture design (of a dark network)
- System-of-systems integration (ie. LIVE systems)
- Security implementation (ISM, ASD etc.)
- Network segmentation and optimisation (Palo Alto firewall and associated switching)
- Multi-domain troubleshooting
- Create and edit SOPs/BLIs etc.
- Deliver training

Minimum mandatory requirements:
- AGSVA Security clearance.
- Defence experience.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar ICT role.
- Relevant ICT qualifications in network administration.
- Expertise in JIRA administration.
- Experience with VMware, NetApp storage, and SQL Server.
- Strong Windows and Linux administration skills.
- Proven ability to support and guide CMTN users, the Flight and Unit, and contribute to the continual development of Air CMD&V; systems and networks.
- Experienced with Windows, Windows Server and networking and work to develop and implement a solution.




- Experience in Architecture design (of a dark network); system-of-systems integration Security implementation; network segmentation and optimisation; multi-domain troubleshooting; creating and editing SOPs/BLIs etc and deliver training.
- Experience supporting upgrades of Linux-based systems; contribute to the administration of virtualisation environments; assist with desktop imaging system enhancements; support upgrades to JIRA-based services and network auditing tools; assist in implementing logging and network security systems and maintain and update system documentation.
- Understanding of Electronic Warfare concepts. (desirable)
