Monivae College is seeking expressions of interest from a versatile Guitar Tutor to deliver lessons as part of our Instrumental Music Program one day per week. This is a service contract arrangement, with the Tutor delivering 30-minute, one-on-one lessons to students from beginner through to advanced level. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, from rock and pop through to technique, theory and performance.

Tutors engaged by Monivae College are expected to uphold the College’s Catholic ethos and help students grow in confidence and enjoyment of music. Monivae is a warm, welcoming co-educational day and boarding community conducted by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, and our music program is a valued part of College life.

We’re looking for someone with:

- Proven experience teaching guitar
- A patient, encouraging approach that brings out the best in students
- Solid communication skills with students and parents
- A current VIT or Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- An active ABN and current public liability insurance
- Support for the Catholic ethos and values of the College
