Profectus is seeking an experienced Intranet Uplift Lead to support a user-centred redesign of a SharePoint Online intranet within an Australian Government agency. You will lead the uplift of the intranet, starting with HR content, so staff across a large and geographically dispersed workforce can find and use the information they need. The work covers information architecture, content strategy and governance, user research and usability testing, and adoption and training.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the strategy, design and implementation of the intranet uplift, starting with HR content
- Set and maintain information architecture standards covering navigation, taxonomy, metadata and enterprise search
- Plan and run user research, co-design workshops and usability testing with staff and business areas
- Develop a content strategy, content standards and a content ownership model
- Lead content audits, rationalisation, remediation and migration to the recent structure
- Set up intranet governance and content lifecycle arrangements, including review cycles and publisher responsibilities
- Ensure intranet content and design meet WCAG accessibility requirements
- Coordinate business, content, UX, change and technical workstreams across a multidisciplinary project team
- Work with SharePoint developers and technical specialists on design and build decisions
- Develop training, templates and guidance for content owners and publishers
- Define success measures and use search analytics, content data and user feedback to drive improvements
- Undertake knowledge transfer to agency staff

Required Experience




- Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
- Leading the strategy, redesign and implementation of an enterprise intranet or digital workplace in a large organisation
- Information architecture, including navigation, taxonomy, metadata, enterprise search and content findability
- User-centred design, user research, co-design and usability testing
- Content strategy, content design, plain English and task-based content
- Large-scale content audits, remediation and migration
- Setting up intranet governance, content ownership and lifecycle management
- Digital accessibility, inclusive design and WCAG
- Sound working knowledge of SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365

Desirable Experience
- Intranet or digital workplace projects in the APS or other government agencies
- Viva Connections, Microsoft Teams, Viva Engage and the wider Microsoft 365 suite
- Intranet, search and employee experience analytics
- Government accessibility, privacy, records management and information governance requirements
- Managing vendors and working with SharePoint developers and enterprise architects
- Recognised change management methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR
