About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Agronomist to lead and support our business operations in Australia based in Narromine NSW. This is a diverse and rewarding role that combines crop activities with some data collation. You will work closely with both local and regional stakeholders to ensure the efficient achievement of our vegetable seed growing quality and objectives.

This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on professional who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

- Lead, develop, motivate and coach assigned team members, or provide functional guidance, advice and support to less experienced Agronomists
- Cultivate assigned crop(s) across the site including climate control, crop protections, fertilisation, and irrigation
- Document incidents and procedures related to crop management
- Ensure all tasks within crop trials are executed in alignment with crop and financial/budget objectives
- Use technical knowledge and experience to partner with Breeders/Researchers and agree on the most effective conditions
- Define and evaluate crop objectives together with Breeders and Researchers
- Ensure a healthy and safe working environment
- Participate in and contribute to International Growing teams
- Order and/or manage stock as required
- Ensure digital tools effectively support crop cultivation in terms of quality and productivity





About you

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
- Expert knowledge of and experience in crop cultivation and plant physiology
- Proficiency with climate computer
- Robust communication, analytical and collaborative skills
- People management skills
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using data and reporting tools and equipment
