We take pride in our workmanship, quality products and commitment to keeping homes safe. As our team continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and reliable person to join our manufacturing team in Canning Vale.
About the role
Are you looking to start a career in manufacturing, learn practical hands-on skills and become part of a supportive team? We have an opportunity for a Junior Manufacturing Team Member to join us on a full-time basis. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing a job well and is keen to learn a trade or develop skills in manufacturing.
No previous manufacturing experience is necessary. While experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication or using tools and machinery would be an advantage, it is not essential. We are happy to train the right person who has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn.
You will receive on-the-job training and guidance from our experienced team as you learn how to manufacture, assemble and finish our range of security screen products.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the manufacture and assembly of security screens and related products.
- Learn to safely operate manufacturing equipment, tools and machinery.
- Measure, assemble and finish components with guidance from experienced team members.
- Check finished products to ensure they meet our quality standards.
- Keep your work area clean, organised and safe.
- Assist with preparing products for packaging and dispatch.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily production targets.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use equipment correctly.
- Develop your skills and product knowledge through hands-on training.
What we're looking for
We are more interested in finding the right person than someone who already knows everything. Ideally, you will have:
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Reliability and punctuality, with a good work ethic.
- An interest in practical, hands-on work.
- Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
- The ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- A willingness to undertake physical work in a manufacturing setting.
Previous experience is welcome but not required. Experience using hand tools, power tools or working in a workshop or manufacturing environment would be an advantage, but full training will be provided to the right candidate. School leavers and applicants looking to start a career in manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
What we offer
- Full-time, stable employment.
- On-the-job training and support from an experienced team.
- The opportunity to develop practical manufacturing skills.
- A supportive workplace where you can learn and grow.
- Opportunities to build a long-term career within the manufacturing industry.
- A safe working environment that values teamwork and quality workmanship.
