In Electrical Services Pty Ltd – Kilsyth VIC
Tired of working hard without being appreciated?
Do you want to work for a company where your effort is recognised, your opinions matter, and you're genuinely valued as part of the team?
I'm Jesse, the Director of InElectrical.
I've experienced what it's like to work for employers who promise the world but never deliver. Businesses that set unrealistic expectations, put profits before people, and fail to recognise the hard work of their employees.
That's exactly the type of workplace I've worked hard NOT to create.
At InElectrical, we believe that when our people succeed, our business succeeds.
We work hard, we enjoy what we do, and we make sure our team is recognised and rewarded for their contributions.
I genuinely want to understand where you see yourself in 1, 2 or even 5 years. Whether that's career progression, professional development, further training, financial goals or achieving a better work-life balance, I want to help you get there.
We're not just looking for someone to fill a position. We're looking for someone who wants to become a valued, long-term member of our team.
The Role
We're looking for an exceptional Administration Assistant to join our growing electrical contracting business in Kilsyth.
This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to turn up, answer a few emails and watch the clock.
We need someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, thrives in a busy environment, is highly organised and can confidently juggle multiple priorities.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely cares about people.
A significant part of our work involves insurance repairs, assisting customers who have experienced devastating events such as house fires, floods and other major property damage.
You'll often be speaking with people during incredibly difficult periods of their lives.
Compassion, patience, empathy and outstanding communication skills are absolutely essential.
What You'll Be Doing
- Setting up new jobs and quotations in our job management system, AroFlo
- Coordinating and scheduling jobs, quotations and appointments
- Managing incoming emails and telephone enquiries
- Preparing electrical reports, permits and project documentation
- Processing invoices and issuing job completion documentation
- Supporting our Project Managers with day-to-day administration
- Assisting me directly with general administrative and operational tasks
- Helping ensure our customers receive an exceptional experience from start to finish
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Is extremely organised, proactive and confident in their administrative abilities
- Can multitask effectively without compromising attention to detail
- Takes initiative, solves problems and doesn't need constant direction
- Communicates professionally and confidently with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Has exceptional time management skills
- Presents themselves professionally and takes pride in their work
- Has genuine compassion and empathy for people facing difficult circumstances
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change
- Takes accountability for their work and follows tasks through to completion
- Brings a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team
Experience with AroFlo or within the construction industry would be advantageous, but neither is essential.
We're far more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude, capability and willingness to learn.
Location: Our office and warehouse in Kilsyth, Victoria
Employment: Full-time
Preferred hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
We understand that everyone has commitments outside work, so start and finish times can be negotiated for the right person.
Why Work at InElectrical?
We take our work seriously, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy ourselves along the way.
Our Kilsyth premises feature an indoor basketball court and golf simulator, giving the team an opportunity to unwind and have some fun.
We also organise regular team social events and activities because building robust relationships outside the day-to-day pressures of work is important to us.
What you can expect:
- A supportive workplace where your contribution is genuinely recognised
- Direct access to the Director and open, honest communication
- Opportunities for professional development and career progression
- Flexibility to help balance work and family commitments
- A team that works hard, supports each other and enjoys having a laugh
- An employer who listens to your ideas and values your input
- A growing business where you can make a real difference
A Final Word From Me
I don't expect perfection, and I don't expect anyone to know everything.
What I do expect is honesty, accountability, initiative and a genuine willingness to do your best.
In return, you can expect the same from me.
I want you to succeed, because when you succeed, we all succeed.
If you're an experienced administrator who wants to be appreciated, challenged and genuinely enjoy coming to work, I'd love to hear from you.
