The National Wine Centre of Australia is looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Attendant to join our main kitchen team on a full-time, permanent basis. Located in Adelaide’s East End, the National Wine Centre is one of South Australia’s premier hospitality, tourism and events venues. We host everything from intimate dinners to major functions for up to 1,000 guests, alongside wine experiences, tastings and dining throughout the year.

This is a critical behind-the-scenes role supporting our chefs and food and beverage operations across our restaurant, functions, conferences, weddings and special events.

About the Role

As our Kitchen Attendant, you’ll help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for whatever the day brings.

Your responsibilities will include

- Washing dishes, glassware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Keeping kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, including floors, benches, cool rooms and equipment
- Removing rubbish and recycling
- Receiving deliveries and storing stock, pantry items and linen
- Keeping cleaning chemicals and kitchen supplies stocked
- Helping the chefs with basic food preparation and setting plates for events
- Following food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
- Supporting the kitchen team when service gets busy





About You We’re looking for someone who:

- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Enjoys being part of a team
- Works well under pressure in a busy kitchen
- Takes pride in a clean, organised workspace
- Is physically fit and comfortable with lifting, standing and manual work
- Is available for a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Has Kitchen Attendant, steward or hospitality experience - preferred but not essential
