About the role

We're looking for a Kong Developer to join an integration team supporting a large-scale, business-critical API gateway platform for an enterprise client. You'll work across day-to-day gateway operations — service and route creation, patching, certificate management, incident support — as well as contributing to the team's ongoing improvement roadmap. This is a genuine chance to work across the full lifecycle of enterprise API delivery, not just routine ticket work.

Key responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day Kong gateway operations, including service/route creation, patching, and certificate management
- Support incident triage and resolution as part of a shared team rotation
- Contribute to platform and process improvements alongside the wider team
- Work directly with client stakeholders as a trusted, embedded team member
