Laboratory Coordinator | Full-Time | Bibra Lake, WA
At Acoem Australasia (Ecotech Pty Ltd), we provide our customers with innovative solutions to monitor the environment for air, water, blast, and noise. We do this by designing, manufacturing, operating, and supplying sophisticated monitoring equipment, which means a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment. We create environments of possibility.
About the Role & The Team We’re on the hunt for a Laboratory Coordinator to keep our NATA-accredited water and dust laboratory running like clockwork.
While accuracy, data, and NATA compliance are at the heart of what we do, our Bibra Lake team is far from rigid. We are a tight-knit, supportive, and fun-loving crew who take our work seriously, but never ourselves. If you love getting into the details of laboratory analysis, take pride in top-notch quality, and want to work alongside people who genuinely enjoy collaborating every day, you’ll fit right in.
Working alongside our Environmental Project Manager and Laboratory Manager, you will help coordinate day-to-day operations, maintain our high standards, and ensure our clients get accurate results right when they need them.
What you’ll be doing:
- Keeping the lab running smoothly: Operating and maintaining analytical equipment, logging data, and keeping calibration records sharp.
- Upholding top quality: Ensuring all water and dust testing meets strict NATA requirements, conducting quarterly process audits, and keeping our procedures up-to-date.
- Managing data & reporting: Collating analytical results, validating data, and uploading client reports into external EDMS software on time.
- Problem-solving & improvement: Spotting compliance triggers or data anomalies, escalating issues early,
and chiming in with smart ways to improve our processes.
- Stock & inventory control: Keeping supplies well-stocked (you’ll ensure we always have at least 3 months of core consumables ready to go!).
- Championing safety: Keeping the lab clean, organised, safe, and maintaining our "Zero Harm" safety culture.
What skills, qualifications & experience will set you up for success?
- Qualifications: Certificate III (or higher) in Laboratory Techniques and a valid Driver’s Licence (essential). A degree in Environmental Science or Chemistry is a fantastic bonus.
- NATA & LIMS background: Hands-on experience working within a NATA-accredited laboratory and familiarity with LIMS software. (NATA Auditor training is a plus!)
- Technical know-how: Practical experience with analytical procedures, instrument maintenance, laboratory safety, and APAH analysis methods.
- Data smarts: Confidence validating data and formatting monthly reports under tight client deadlines.
A little more about you:
- Meticulous attention to detail: You’re sharp, thorough, and take real pride in error-free record-keeping.
- A true team player: You bring positive energy, love working collaboratively, and communicate clearly across all levels.
- Self-motivated: You can manage your own time, stay cool under tight deadlines, and work well with minimal supervision.
- Customer-focused: You’re approachable, professional, and dedicated to delivering great service.
What we offer you:
- Great culture: Work with a dynamic, close-knit, and genuinely supportive team.
- Competitive pay & rewards: A competitive remuneration package and a range of employee benefits
- Growth: Regular internal training and development to help you expand your technical expertise.
- Stability: Full time, permanent role based in Bibra Lake, WA.
