Position 1: Leading Hand / 2IC – Geosynthetics Installation

About the Role:

The Leading Hand supports the Site Supervisor in daily operations and geomembrane installation while remaining hands-on. This role ensures work quality, crew coordination, and compliance with safety and technical standards.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and participate in installation of HDPE/LLDPE geomembranes, GCLs, and geotextiles
- Supervise plastic welding using extrusion and wedge techniques
- Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing (vacuum, pressure, peel)
- Allocate tasks and support crew coordination
- Step in as acting Site Supervisor when required
- Promote WHS standards and liaise with inspectors

Skills & Qualifications:

- 3+ years in geomembrane installation or 5+ years in civil construction
- Leadership experience (Foreman, Senior Welder, etc.)
- Strong plastic welding expertise (HDPE, LLDPE)
- Valid Driver’s License (manual), White Card
- IAGI or TWI certification (preferred)
- Medically fit to pass coal board medical

Salary Range: AUD 80,000 – AUD 90,000 per annum (exclusive of superannuation) Position 2: Welder – Metal & Plastic Fabrication

About the Role:

The Welder will support geosynthetic installations through both metal welding tasks and plastic welding of containment liners. Training in HDPE/LLDPE welding provided.

Responsibilities:

- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding for fabrication
- Execute plastic welding using hot wedge and extrusion methods
- Assist in liner deployment and seam preparation




- Collaborate with team on installations and safety compliance

Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience in metal welding
- Willingness to train in plastic welding techniques
- Trade qualification in welding preferred
- Ability to interpret construction drawings
- Physically fit and team-oriented

Salary Range: AUD 76,515 – AUD 82,000 per annum (exclusive of superannuation)
