About the Role

The Buller Ski & Snowboard School (SSS) is seeking an experienced and motivated Lesson Sales Supervisor to lead our Lesson/Ticket Sales team this winter season. As a supervisor, you’ll oversee daily operations at our on‑mountain sales locations, support the sales team, and ensure our guests receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. You will be a key point of contact for both guests and staff, helping to guide the sales process, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a high standard of professionalism and efficiency within the team.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise the day‑to‑day operations of the Lessons/Tickets Sales team.
- Support staff in promoting and selling lessons, lift tickets, and package products using our point‑of‑sale system (RTP).
- Assist guests in selecting appropriate lessons or ticket options for themselves and their families.
- Handle escalated guest enquiries, issues, or complaints with calm professionalism.
- Oversee phone operations within the SSS office, including booking private lessons.
- Train, mentor, and support team members to achieve sales and service targets.




- Assist with rostering, task allocation, and maintaining a positive team culture.
- Ensure a well‑groomed, professional appearance is maintained at all times.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience in guest service, tourism, hospitality, sales, or similar fields.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and confidence managing guest interactions.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Experience with cash/card (EFTPOS) handling and balancing.
- Ability to work under pressure in extremely busy, rapid‑paced environments.
- A positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Neat, well‑groomed presentation.
- Skiing or snowboarding experience is a plus.
- Previous call centre or phone‑based customer service experience is highly regarded.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work towards sales targets.
