We are seeking Domestic Companion Carers to support our clients with household tasks and social connection. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, takes pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable home, and values building positive relationships with older people.

About the role

As a Domestic Companion Carer, you will provide practical household assistance and companionship to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity and quality of life.

Key responsibilities include:

- General household cleaning, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and bathroom cleaning.

- Laundry, ironing and changing bed linen.

- Kitchen cleaning, dishwashing and maintaining a tidy household.

- Light meal preparation and assistance with basic household tasks.

- Grocery shopping and essential errands, where required and within the approved service scope.

- Providing friendly conversation, companionship and social engagement in the client's home.

- Respecting each client's privacy, preferences,



home environment and independence.

- Reporting any concerns or changes in the client's wellbeing to the appropriate office team.

Please note:

This position is focused on domestic assistance and companionship. It does not include personal care, medication administration or manual handling duties.

About you

We are looking for reliable, respectful and compassionate individuals who enjoy supporting older people to live independently.

To be successful, you will have:

- A genuine interest in supporting older Australians in their homes.

- Previous experience in domestic cleaning, housekeeping, home assistance or aged care is desirable.

- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

- Good time management, reliability and attention to detail.

- The ability to work independently and follow client-specific instructions.

- A current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification is required for the position.
