ROLE – Mechanical Engineer SALARY - $100,000 - $115,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – North-East Victoria, VIC

My client designs and manufactures bespoke heavy vehicle equipment. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in North-East Victoria on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

- At least 3 years’ experience in a Mechanical Engineering role
- Previous experience within heavy vehicle manufacturing, trailers, trucks or similar
- Experience managing engineering projects from concept through to manufacture and delivery
- Strong project management skills, including coordinating schedules, budgets, resources and stakeholders
- Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience working with pressure equipment, with AS 1210 knowledge highly regarded
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Experience liaising with suppliers, manufacturers and internal engineering teams
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel




- Able to manage multiple projects and work autonomously
- Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills

The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

- Managing engineering projects from initial concept through to manufacture, testing and delivery
- Coordinating project schedules, budgets, resources and technical requirements
- Working closely with design, manufacturing and production teams to ensure project milestones are met
- Liaising with suppliers, customers and external stakeholders
- Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and resolving technical issues
- Supporting the development and improvement of heavy vehicle products and equipment
- Ensuring engineering work meets relevant standards and technical requirements
- Coordinating project documentation and reporting
- Travelling internationally to support projects, suppliers and manufacturing activities as required
- Working across multiple projects in a hands-on, collaborative engineering setting
