About the role

Telos Medical is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team in Stafford, QLD. This is a casual position offering flexibility for the right candidate. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our medical practice and enhance the patient experience at every interaction.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting patients upon arrival and ensuring they feel welcomed in a friendly and professional manner
- Managing patient registrations and updating patient records accurately and securely
- Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic diary to optimise patient flow
- Handling incoming calls and directing enquiries to appropriate staff members
- Processing patient payments and managing billing inquiries
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations at all times
- Providing general administrative support to the medical team
- Assisting with reception area organisation and maintenance of a clean, skilled workspace

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a medical reception or healthcare administrative role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency with computer systems and medical practice management software
- Knowledge of privacy legislation and confidentiality requirements in healthcare settings
- Professional telephone etiquette and customer service orientation




- Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- A commitment to providing outstanding patient care
- Current knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous
- 7 days from 8.00am - 10.00pm (availability)
