Join Our Team | Autism, Behaviour Analysis & Positive Behaviour Support
Specialised Therapy Assistants | Case Managers | Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners MICAH Inclusion | Bunbury, South West WA
Looking for more than just a job?
MICAH Inclusion is not your typical therapy provider. We are a specialist team working with Autistic children, young people and their families. Our practice brings together Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and a deep understanding of Autism, learning and development.
We believe that effective therapy should be individualised, compassionate, respectful and grounded in contemporary research. Our focus is on improving quality of life, building meaningful relationships, developing independence and supporting children and families to participate in the things that matter to them.
We are looking for people who share this philosophy and want to be part of a team that values clinical knowledge, critical thinking, collaboration and ongoing professional growth.
Whether you are an experienced therapist, a university-qualified professional interested in developing your skills in behaviour analysis, or an established PBS Practitioner seeking a specialist team, we would love to hear from you.
Opportunities within our team
We are recruiting across three potential roles, depending on your qualifications, experience and professional interests. Specialised Therapy Assistants | ABA
Our Specialised Therapy Assistants work directly with children and families, implementing individualised therapy programs developed and supervised by Behaviour Analysts and experienced clinicians.
This is an active, skilled therapy role focused on teaching and supporting the development of meaningful skills.
You will
- Deliver individualised ABA therapy in clinic, home and community settings.
- Support the development of communication, emotional regulation, flexibility, daily living skills and independence.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Collect and use data to monitor learning and progress.
- Participate in regular coaching, supervision and professional development.
- Develop your understanding of behaviour, learning and evidence-based intervention.
We are particularly interested in applicants with experience supporting Autistic children who are enthusiastic about developing specialist clinical skills. A university degree is not essential for this role. Relevant experience, personal qualities and a genuine commitment to learning are important.
Case Managers | Autism & Behaviour Analysis
We are seeking university-qualified professionals who are interested in developing their careers within a specialised Autism and behaviour analysis service.
Our Case Managers work collaboratively with therapy assistants and families to support the coordination, implementation and ongoing evaluation of individualised therapy programs.
Depending on qualifications, experience and demonstrated competencies, responsibilities may include:
- Developing therapy programs and monitoring progress towards individualised goals.
- Supporting therapy assistants with consistent and effective implementation of programs.
- Working collaboratively with families, educators and other professionals.
- Contributing to assessment, data analysis, program reviews and clinical documentation within your scope of practice.
- Participating in clinical supervision, case discussions and ongoing professional learning.
- Supporting the development of meaningful, functional skills across everyday environments.
Applicants must hold a relevant university degree, such as Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work or a related discipline. Experience working with Autistic children, knowledge of ABA or PBS, and an interest in developing advanced clinical skills will be highly regarded.
Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners
We are also interested in hearing from PBS Practitioners who would like to join a collaborative, specialist team with a strong focus on Autism and evidence-based behaviour support.
At MICAH Inclusion, PBS is about understanding the person, their environment and the function of behaviour, while developing practical, compassionate and effective supports that improve quality of life.
You will have opportunities to:
- Undertake functional behaviour assessments and develop individualised behaviour support plans.
- Work closely with families and support teams to understand behaviour in context.
- Develop proactive, function-based strategies that build skills and reduce reliance on restrictive practices.
- Support implementation through coaching, training and collaborative problem-solving.
- Participate in clinical discussions, professional supervision and reflective practice.
- Contribute to a team that integrates behaviour analytic principles with neuroaffirming, person-centred practice.
Applicants must have been assessed as suitable to practise as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. We welcome interest from practitioners at different stages of their careers who value supervision, clinical integrity and ongoing development.
Who we are looking for
Across all three roles, we are looking for people who:
- Have a genuine interest in Autism, behaviour, learning and child development.
- Value neuroaffirming, respectful and individualised practice.
- Are thoughtful, curious and willing to question and reflect on their own practice.
- Can remain calm, patient and responsive in complex situations.
- Welcome coaching, feedback and professional supervision.
- Understand the importance of building relationships with children and families.
- Value evidence-based intervention while recognising the individual needs, preferences and autonomy of each person.
- Are reliable, organised and committed to maintaining professional standards.
- Enjoy working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team culture.
- Want to continue developing their knowledge and skills over time.
We are interested in people who bring both professional capability and the right personal qualities. You do not need to know everything when you join us, but you do need to be willing to learn.
Why join MICAH Inclusion?
We believe that supporting the development of our staff is just as key as supporting the children and families we work with. As part of our team, you will have access to:
- Ongoing professional supervision and clinical mentoring.
- Training and development in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support.
- Opportunities to learn alongside Behaviour Analysts, PBS Practitioners and experienced therapists.
- Collaborative case discussions and opportunities to develop clinical reasoning.
- Supportive colleagues who value sharing knowledge and learning from one another.
- Opportunities for professional growth and progression, based on qualifications, experience and demonstrated competencies.
- Potential opportunities to undertake training and pursue certification, subject to eligibility.
- Meaningful work with children and families, focused on outcomes that make a difference in everyday life.
Most importantly, you will be joining a team committed to doing thoughtful, ethical and effective work.
About MICAH Inclusion
Our vision is for every person with Autism and disabilities, and their families, to live joyful and hopeful lives in an inclusive and accepting community. Our practice is guided by five core values:
Integrity | Growth | Connection | Respect | Inclusion
These values shape how we work with children and families, how we make clinical decisions and how we support one another as colleagues.
Employment opportunities
We are open to discussing opportunities based on applicants' qualifications, experience and availability. For Specialist Therapy Assistants, positions may initially commence at a minimum of six hours per week, with availability for at least two after-school sessions with opportunities to increase hours over time as we match clients to therapists carefully.
Case Manager and PBS Practitioner hours and employment arrangements will be discussed with suitable applicants.
How to apply
Please submit your current CV and a short cover letter outlining:
- Which role or roles you are interested in.
- Your relevant qualifications and experience working with Autistic children or people with disability.
- Why you are interested in working with MICAH Inclusion.
- Your approach to professional learning, feedback and supervision.
- Your availability and preferred working hours.
PBS Practitioner applicants should also provide details of their current NDIS Commission practitioner suitability status. We are interested in finding the right people to join our team and welcome applications from those who share our values and are passionate about developing their practice.
