School Support Officer - Classroom (2 Positions)

Two temporary part time positions (one position working 57 hours per fortnight and one position working 60 hours per fortnight) commencing 28 January 2027 until 26 January 2028.

This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This classroom-based position requires you to work collaboratively with teachers, providing assistance in all areas of student learning and management.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:

- A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Ability to support children's individual learning in the classroom.
- Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
- Ability to interact positively with students.
- Technical competence in appropriate technologies.





DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

- Previous experience in similar settings.
- Experience with the PB4L framework.

The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:

- Well developed written and oral communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team workplace.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
