The Community Engagement team strengthens two-way engagement and knowledge sharing with communities across Australia. Our goal is to support people to prepare for and respond to natural hazards, helping build resilience in a changing climate.

We work with community organisations, emergency management agencies and government partners, using cooperative and human-centred approaches to engagement. As part of the Decision Support Services Program, you will collaborate with the Bureau's Hazard Preparedness and Response team in Darwin and contribute to broader Bureau priorities across the Northern Territory.

At the EL1 level, the role also includes leadership responsibilities focused on national strategy, collaboration and capability development.
