Position: Nursery Supervisor

Salary: $78,000 - $88,000 plus Superannuation

Location: 69 Florda Gold Drive, Wells Crossing, NSW 2460, Australia

Mode: Full Time

Experience: 2 years’ experience minimum

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate nursery activities including plant propagation, planting and cultivation.

Prepare potting media, soil mixtures, containers and growing areas for planting.

Select and plant seeds, bulbs and cuttings, and undertake budding and grafting activities where required.

Monitor, water and fertilise plants and apply appropriate treatments to control pests, diseases and weeds.

Maintain records of soil mixtures, plantings, treatments, losses and yields.

Select, prepare and package plants for presentation, sale and delivery.

Inspect nursery plants regularly to assess growth, quality and general plant health, and take appropriate corrective action.





Operate and maintain nursery tools, irrigation equipment and other horticultural equipment used in plant production.

To be successful in this role, it is essential you have:

Relevant AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in Horticulture, Nursery Production or a related field.

At least three years of relevant nursery or horticultural experience may substitute for the formal qualification.

Demonstrated experience in plant propagation, planting, cultivation and nursery maintenance.

Sound knowledge of watering, fertilising, pest and disease control, and general plant health.

Ability to supervise nursery activities and maintain records of plantings, treatments, losses and yields.
