Social Media Manager Permanent, Full TimeOnsite - Tullamarine, VIC
Up to $110,000 plus Superannuation
Lead the social media strategy for a portfolio of fast-growing consumer brands, with an in-house production team and your own team behind you.
Our client is an award-winning, Australian-owned group that has grown quickly. Their portfolio includes high-volume ecommerce and digital retail brands that reach a wide range of Australians: parents, women, men, and many more. With an in-house production studio already in place, they want a social leader to decide what gets made, why, and for whom.
Why this role stands out
- You set the social media video content strategy. You'll decide the formats, the series, the hooks and the publishing rhythm across every social platform.
- You'll have a production partner in-house. You'll work closely with the Digital & Content Production Manager, who heads video and content creation. You bring the strategy and the creative direction, and the studio brings it to life.
- You'll build and lead a team. You'll manage two direct reports: a Content Creator based locally and a Community Manager based offshore.
- The audience is broad, so the thinking has to be broad. One brand might speak to parents, another to women, another to men. You'll create distinct voices and formats for each and avoid a single template for every brand.
- You'll have a strategic seat. You'll report to the Head of Marketing, who sets the overall marketing direction. You'll turn that direction into a social and video plan and own the results.
What you'll do
- Own the social and video content strategy across the brand portfolio, setting formats,
series and creative frameworks for each channel and audience
- Brief and work with the in-house production team so content is social-first, made for 9:16, and tuned to each platform
- Lead, coach and develop your Content Creator and Community Manager, and set up workflows and briefing processes that scale
- Plan and optimise paid social campaigns with clear links to conversion and revenue
- Build and run creator and influencer programs, from finding talent to partnership to measuring results
- Report on performance with insights that drive decisions, and share what works with the Head of Marketing and wider business
What you'll bring
- Proven experience as a social media manager, with results you can show: video views, engagement, growth, conversions
- A video-first mindset and a strong grasp of short-form formats, hooks and platform trends on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube
- Experience managing paid social budgets of $20K+ per month, tied to performance goals
- Experience writing for multiple brands or audiences at once, whether from an agency, publisher or in-house portfolio
- Creator and influencer partnership experience
- People leadership experience, or a clear readiness to step into it, including managing remote team members
- Confidence with data, and the ability to turn analytics into a transparent story and next steps
If you've grown audiences, built formats that people come back to, and want to set the direction rather than just deliver on it, we'd like to hear from you.
