Tutor Radiographer | Clinical Education & Development

Passionate about radiography and helping others succeed?

Marina Radiology is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Tutor Radiographer to support the development of students, graduates and our wider imaging team. While this is a full‑time position, part‑time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

This is an opportunity to combine your clinical experience with education, mentoring and quality improvement, while continuing to develop your own skills and career.

The opportunity

As our Tutor Radiographer, you'll work closely with our Chief Radiographer, radiologists and clinical teams to support staff development, maintain high clinical standards and promote consistent imaging practices across our clinics.

You'll also be a key representative of Marina Radiology within the university community, building relationships with academic partners and supporting students throughout their clinical placements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Mentoring and supporting undergraduate students and graduate radiographers as they develop their clinical skills and confidence

- Creating a positive learning environment where students and staff feel comfortable asking questions and seeking guidance

- Building and maintaining relationships with universities and coordinating student placements

- Supporting clinical education, ongoing professional development and CPD activities

- Contributing to image quality, radiation safety, regulatory compliance and quality assurance initiatives

- Remaining involved in hands‑on diagnostic imaging and continuous improvement

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced radiographer who enjoys sharing knowledge, is approachable and genuinely wants to help others develop.

You'll be someone who leads by example, communicates well and takes pride in maintaining high clinical standards.

You'll bring:

- A degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration and a Victorian Radiation Use Licence

- Strong clinical experience in diagnostic imaging, particularly General X‑ray, Dental Imaging, DEXA/BMD and CT

- CTCA and/or MRI experience highly regarded, but not essential (we can help you develop these skills)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner

- A genuine interest in mentoring, teaching and supporting the development of others

- The confidence to build positive relationships with universities and represent Marina Radiology professionally

- A collaborative attitude and commitment to patient safety, image quality and continuous improvement

- The ability and willingness to travel between Marina Radiology clinics as required to support staff, students and clinical education activities

If you're an experienced radiographer with a passion for teaching and supporting others, we'd love to hear from you.

Why join Marina Radiology?

This role offers the opportunity to contribute beyond your clinical workload, play an active part in developing future radiographers and help shape education and training across our clinics.

Here's what we offer:

- Opportunities to develop your skills in clinical education, mentoring and leadership

- Paid professional development and conference/seminar leave

- A supportive and cooperative clinical team

- Exclusive staff discounts across groceries, retail and fuel

- Access to our confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

- Access to our affiliated Workplace Banking Program
