Maintenance Technician - Food Manufacturing

Meredith Dairy is known for producing high‑quality, award‑winning goat and sheep dairy products supplied to national and international markets. Located approximately 11 km west of Meredith, Victoria, we operate in a rural setting and are committed to sustainable practices across operations.

A highly innovative solid, family-owned cheese manufacturing business, we take pride in our hands‑on approach, supportive team culture, and the quality of what we produce.

About the Role

Provides a variety of work, that will fully utilise all your skills with the potential do develop more!.

Key Responsibilities

To work in a safe and standard way, and provide support for safe and standard work

Daily start‑up, shutdown and changeover of production lines to ensure stable production cycles

Mechanical maintenance and repair of food production equipment

Preventative maintenance tasks

Breakdown response and fault-finding

Support general site maintenance as required

About You

Happy to work a weekday rotation, that will include weekend work (shared roster)

Seeking a motivated, hands‑on person with a positive attitude and the confidence to take initiative when faced with new challenges.

Practical, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team

Applicants should demonstrate a strong attendance record and commitment to reliable, consistent attendance due to the small team structure.

Good communication across different roles and expectations supportive teamwork skills

Current driver's licence essential due to location

Desirable (but not essential)

- Experience in painting, surface preparation, and rust removal.
- Experience carrying out minor building and infrastructure maintenance and repairs.
