Full-time | 38 hours per week | $100,000 per annum + superannuation

Hastings Central Medical Centre is seeking a suitably qualified General Practitioner to join our established and supportive medical team in Hastings, Victoria. We are a busy general practice providing comprehensive primary health care to the local community, with a strong focus on chronic disease management, preventive health care and continuity of care.

Due to ongoing patient demand, we are seeking an additional General Practitioner to support our existing doctors and improve access to medical services. This position may particularly suit a medical practitioner commencing or progressing through supervised general practice in Australia.

Supervision and clinical support by experienced General Practitioners can be provided where required and appropriate to the practitioner's AHPRA registration conditions. Position details

- Full-time employment – 38 hours per week
- Base salary of $100,000 per annum plus superannuation
- Hastings, Victoria – DPA location
- Supportive general practice setting
- Supervision support available where required
- Opportunity to provide comprehensive general practice care to an established patient population

Qualifications and requirements Applicants should:

- Hold a recognised medical qualification




- Hold current registration with the Medical Board of Australia/AHPRA appropriate to the position, or be eligible to obtain the required registration before commencing employment
- Have relevant clinical experience in general practice, primary health care or a comparable medical setting
- Demonstrate appropriate clinical assessment, diagnosis and patient-management skills
- Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Be committed to safe, professional and patient-centred care
- Have Australian work rights that enable them to undertake the position

Australian citizens and permanent residents who meet the position requirements are particularly encouraged to apply. Key responsibilities The General Practitioner will:

- Conduct patient consultations, clinical assessments and examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Prescribe and review medications as clinically appropriate
- Order and interpret appropriate investigations
- Provide preventive health care, health screening and immunisations
- Develop and review chronic disease management plans
- Provide patient education and health promotion
- Refer and coordinate care with specialists and allied health professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
- Work collaboratively with other members of the practice team
- Practise in accordance with applicable AHPRA registration and supervision requirements
