Principal Safety (Investigations)

Westgold Resources is seeking an experienced Principal Safety (Investigations) to provide enterprise-wide leadership in incident investigation, organisational learning and critical risk improvement.

Based in Perth on a Monday to Friday roster, this role will work closely with operational leaders across the business to ensure significant events are thoroughly investigated, lessons are captured, and sustainable improvements are implemented to strengthen safety performance. Travel to site operations will be required from time to time to lead investigations, engage with stakeholders and support the effective implementation of corrective actions.

Reporting to the Group Manager Safety & Training, you will be responsible for leading and supporting high-quality investigations into significant events across Westgold's operations. You will provide expert guidance on investigation methodologies, identify systemic causes, and drive improvements that reduce risk and strengthen critical controls.

This Perth-based role will involve travel to Westgold's operations as required to support investigations, engage with site leadership teams and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
