An exceptional opportunity for an accomplished Structural Engineering leader who wants to influence the future direction of a successful, nationally operating engineering consultancy.

We are looking for a commercially astute, forward-thinking engineering professional capable of working alongside the Director to strengthen operations, develop teams, improve profitability and contribute to the strategic growth of the business across multiple offices.

The successful candidate will bring more than technical expertise. They will have the leadership capability, commercial judgement and vision to make a genuine difference to an established organisation.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Director, you will take responsibility for:

- Providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple offices.
- Supporting and developing engineering teams, managers and emerging leaders.
- Overseeing project delivery, resource allocation, productivity and commercial performance.
- Strengthening existing client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
- Driving profitability through improved operational efficiency and commercial decision-making.
- Introducing innovative technologies, including AI-enabled tools,



automation and improved business systems.
- Establishing consistent standards of performance, accountability and service delivery.
- Contributing to national business strategy, growth initiatives and long-term organisational development.

What we're looking for Ideally, you will bring:

- 10-15+ years of structural engineering experience within the Australian consulting engineering sector.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
- Proven leadership experience at Principal, Associate Director or equivalent senior management level.
- The ability to manage and influence multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations.
- Strong commercial awareness, including budgets, profitability, resource management and business development.
- Established client relationships and the confidence to engage with senior decision-makers.
- A progressive mindset with an interest in AI, emerging technologies and smarter business practices.
- The ability to translate strategic objectives into measurable business outcomes.

A leadership role with genuine influence We are not necessarily looking for someone who wants to spend their days undertaking structural calculations or producing detailed designs.

While strong technical knowledge remains important,



your greatest contribution will come from your ability to lead people, manage operations, improve business performance and identify opportunities others may overlook.

You will have the opportunity to challenge existing processes, introduce new ideas and help position the consultancy for its next stage of national growth.
