Concept Commissioning (CCx)

Concept Commissioning is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead major data centre commissioning engagements and help shape the next stage of our business.

CCx is an independent commissioning consultancy specialising in data centres and mission-critical facilities. We provide commissioning management and leadership across Levels 0–6, supporting projects from early planning through to integrated testing and handover.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for project delivery, client relationships, commercial performance and the development of our project teams.

You will

- Lead commissioning engagements, keeping scope, programme, resources and budgets aligned.
- Provide direction and support to project leads and electrical and mechanical commissioning teams.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, builders and specialist contractors.
- Oversee commissioning strategies, readiness reviews, testing programmes and handover requirements.
- Resolve delivery issues, manage risks and provide explicit reporting and escalation.
- Support tender submissions, fee proposals and opportunities with new and existing clients.




- Develop our people and strengthen the systems and standards that support consistent delivery.

We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven senior leadership experience delivering complex data centre or mission-critical projects.
- A strong understanding of commissioning, building services and the dependencies between electrical, mechanical and controls systems.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Sound commercial judgement, including scope management, forecasting and variations.
- The confidence to lead client discussions, challenge constructively and make timely decisions.
- A practical, accountable approach and a commitment to developing others.

This role could suit an established Project Director or a senior commissioning leader with the experience and capability to take on broader responsibility. At CCx, you will work directly with the founder, influence how the business operates and play a meaningful part in developing our team. You will join a specialist consultancy where your decisions and contribution have a visible impact.
