The Role

As a Lead Field Technician you will be responsible for providing customer and technical support for installed systems Security CCTV, Access Control Systems, and other IP or cloud-based products.

You will service and support existing customers by responding to service calls, programmed maintenance, Customer Support Programs as well as performing installation and commissioning on complex systems.

Always acts as “our customer’s best service provider” thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.



This is not only through providing a solution to the service call, but ability to communicate with client on site about faults and update your scheduling team accordingly.

Respond to routine and some non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems; install projects, as necessary.

CompleteaccurateanddetailedservicereportsforcustomersandConvergintpromptlytoallowforaccurate invoicing and job costtracking.

Rostered after-hours emergent service calls.

Work with our remote IT team who will provide support on site.

Assist with the development and updating of best practice techniques.

To be successful in the role you will need to have:

Exceptionalcustomerfocusandabilitytoworkunderpressure; abilitytomaintain awarenessofandseektomeettheneedsandwantsofthecustomer withoutbeingprompted.

High-levelcommunicationskills-written,oral,andliaison.

Strongtechnicalskillsand/orexperience relatedtoelectronic securitysystems.

Programmingskillsandprovenabilitytotroubleshootproblemsandlookforsolutions.

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years’ experience as Service technician with industry /trade qualifications

Experience with variousEACS systems Gallagher, Genetec, Integriti, Milestone, Avignon

Willingness to work on an On-Call Roster

Avaliddriver’s licensewithacleandrivingrecord.

A valid Victoria SecurityLicense.
