Since opening its doors in 2013, NOMAD has grown from a singular vision into one of edition's most celebrated restaurants, with venues in Sydney and Melbourne. We are thrilled to announce that the next chapter will unfold in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley in Summer 2027, with the same ambition that has shaped every NOMAD before it.

Inspired by journeys through Spain, Morocco and the Middle East, and grounded in a deep appreciation for Australia's extraordinary farmers, growers and producers, NOMAD has always drawn together influences from near and far. The Opportunity

As we prepare to open our doors, we’re looking for an exceptional Venue Manager to lead our team and bring NOMAD Brisbane to life. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a venue from day one, working with our Leadership Team to establish operational excellence, build and develop a strong team, and set the standards for service and culture that will define NOMAD.

Set on James Street, one of Brisbane's most popular dining precincts, NOMAD Brisbane will be a premium, busy, high-energy venue. As Venue Manager, you'll lead from the front: on the floor, alongside your team, setting the tone for every guest experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a premium, high-volume environment and takes pride in delivering warm, polished, memorable hospitality.





Our ideal candidate will have

- 5+ years' experience in Venue or Restaurant Management roles within premium dining venues
- A genuine enthusiasm for being part of a new opening and the opportunity to help build a team, culture and venue from the ground up
- Robust operational experience across invoicing, rostering, forecasting, POS management, event delivery and activations
- Strong commercial acumen, with a firm grip on P&L;, labour management and cost control
- Excellent food and wine knowledge, with the ability to lead and develop Team Members across these areas
- A proven track record of effective planning, time management and decision-making
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to support and develop both junior Team Members and senior leaders
- The ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across the business and interstate
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards across service, venue presentation and operations
- The ability to work autonomously while treating guests and peers with respect, humility and kindness
- Commitment, passion and appreciation for all things food & beverage and the hospitality industry
