Aspec Engineering (ASPEC), a leading multi-disciplinary engineering firm, seeks a Structural Engineer to join the Newcastle team. This role would be i deally suited for someone from an onsite background looking for more office-based position with site support.

Responsibilities

- Utilise structural analysis and design software, including FEA software.
- Apply knowledge of relevant Australian Standards in your work.
- Demonstrate strong design and problem-solving skills.
- Foster effective communication and interpersonal relationships with clients and team members.
- Engage in business development activities to support ASPEC’s and your growth.
- Prepare documentation and communicate findings clearly.
- Leverage site experience to inform project execution.
- Work with heavy structural engineering for steel, concrete, and foundation works.
- Contribute to the design of materials handling systems.

Skills and Experience

- 3+ years experience in industrial/mining sectors. (A strong site based background with Structural Integrity and Heavy Industrial experience is preferred).
- A Structural/Civil or Mechanical degree (Structural/Civil Engineering degree is preferred ).




- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite.
- Previous FEA experience is a plus.
- Basic drafting/modelling experience is a plus.
