Utech is an established NSW electrical contractor delivering major projects across the commercial, residential, health, education, industrial and aged-care sectors.

We’re looking for Electrical Foremen and Leading Hands for construction projects across Sydney. We welcome applications from experienced foremen and capable construction electricians ready to step into their first leadership role.

The opportunity

Take responsibility for electrical installation works, lead a site team and work closely with our Project Managers to keep projects running safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will suit your experience. Electricians stepping into a Leading Hand role will receive support to develop their planning, coordination and team leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and support electricians, apprentices and subcontractors on site
- Plan daily activities, allocate work and monitor progress
- Coordinate with the builder, other trades and Utech’s project team
- Read drawings,



identify issues and help resolve installation challenges
- Organise materials, equipment and upcoming work requirements
- Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship and quality
- Assist with testing, commissioning, defect rectification and handover

About you

- A current NSW electrical licence
- Experience in commercial or residential construction
- The ability to read electrical drawings and plan installation work
- Good communication skills and a practical approach to solving problems
- Reliability, initiative and pride in your work
- A willingness to take responsibility and help others develop

Previous foreman experience is not essential for the Leading Hand position. If you’re a capable electrician who takes initiative and is ready for more responsibility, we’d like to hear from you.
