Job Description

Cook – Fulltime position The Star Connoisseur Pty Ltd T/as Mr. Hizolas seeks full time Cook to produce a range of contemporary Cantonese cuisine. The role includes: Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

- ? To prepare and serve a range of Cantonese meals at a consistently high standard under head chef’s guidance
- ? To support head chef in kitchen operations

Main Duties

- ? Assist head chef in planning menus and ordering food supplies Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- ? Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures – specifically ensuring mix of traditional & contemporary cooking techniques are followed to retain authenticity of the cuisine.
- ? Prepare menu items adapting them to the dietary needs of the customers Ensure quality and consistency by following standard recipes and presentation Checking the quality of raw materials




- ? Checking the cleanliness and operation of equipment before production ? Assist head chef in ordering daily supplies and receive and store stock as per company standards and estimated requirement.
- ? Abiding food safety & hygiene regulations as per the current regulations. Assist with training kitchen staff if required.
- ? Ensure consistent and quality performance at all times including peak trade hours.

Requirements

- ? Certificate IV in commercial cookery or equivalent experience
- ? At least 1 years’ experience as Cook/Chef
- ? Proven experience in similar style cooking is required
- ? High level of attention to detail
- ? Exceptional levels of cleanliness and organisation
- ? Communication and organisational skills
- ? Team player and able to work in busy environment

We are offering excellent working conditions and a starting gross salary of $80,000 plus superannuation.
