CDH Contracting is expanding into residential fencing, earthworks and property improvements, and we're looking for a capable Welder / Metal Fabricator to join the team. We want someone who takes pride in their work, can think on their feet and is keen to be part of a growing local business.

Key responsibilities

- Welding and repairing gates, steel fencing, posts, brackets and other metal components
- Fabricating and modifying steelwork to suit job requirements
- Supporting rural and residential fencing installations
- Repairing machinery attachments, trailers and equipment where suitably qualified and authorised
- Reading measurements, plans and job specifications
- Maintaining a safe, organised work area and looking after tools and equipment

About you

- Welding and fabrication experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Good attention to detail and a strong safety mindset




- Reliable transport and a current driver licence
- Ability to interpret measurements and basic fabrication drawings
- Experience with MIG, TIG, stick welding or heavy steelwork is an advantage, depending on the work you're confident performing
- Above-award pay, based on experience and capability
