We are partnering with an international bank that is establishing its presence in Brisbane, and we are seeking an AVP or VP (Relationship Manager) to join at the ground floor.
In this role, you will own relationships with new and existing corporate clients, acting as their main point of contact, delivering tailored financial solutions, managing their portfolios and providing an outstanding client experience.
Your day-to-day
- Develop, manage and execute strategic business plans to meet performance targets set by management, including loan and deposit growth, revenue generation, recent client onboarding and cross-sell outcomes.
- Assess clients’ financial requirements and coordinate with internal and external parties to onboard new clients to the Bank.
- Proactively manage clients and build strong, long-term relationships.
- Maintain existing portfolio accounts in line with applicable regulations and policies.
- Identify new business opportunities and build your network through business seminars, workshops, conferences and similar events.
- Identify, assess and manage credit risks,
ensuring full compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and addressing potential issues early.
- Coach, guide and support the Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) to strengthen the team’s capability and overall performance.
- Take on ad-hoc assignments and projects as directed by management to support broader business initiatives and needs.
What we are looking for
- Relevant experience working with institutional or large corporate clients in the banking industry.
- The ability to understand clients’ financial needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- A solid understanding of banking products.
- A collaborative approach to working with internal stakeholders.
- A strong commitment to risk management, internal controls and compliance.
- Outstanding negotiation, persuasion, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A quick learner who is willing to study and follow internal processes.
- Mandarin speaking is a bonus but not required.
