About the role

Zebra Lounge is seeking enthusiastic and professional Wait Staff to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a vibrant hospitality venue where you will deliver exceptional customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Based in Pyrmont NSW 2009, this casual position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to develop valuable experience in the hospitality industry. You will be the face of Zebra Lounge, creating memorable experiences for our guests through attentive service, product knowledge, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting guests warmly and seating them promptly at available tables

- Providing detailed knowledge of menu offerings, beverages and daily specials to assist guests with their selections

- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

- Serving food and drinks in a professional and timely manner, adhering to health and safety standards

- Clearing tables promptly and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area

- Processing payments and managing transactions with accuracy and courtesy

- Responding to guest requests and concerns with professionalism and discretion

- Supporting kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow

- Maintaining the highest standards of personal appearance and hygiene

- Following all restaurant policies, procedures and licensing regulations

What we're looking for

- Prior experience as wait staff, hospitality or customer service roles is highly desirable

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy environment

- Skilled demeanour and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service

- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team





- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and carry items safely

- Knowledge of food safety and health and hygiene practices

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Current or willingness to obtain Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification

- A positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement
