We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Serviceman to carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and general maintenance duties on a variety of earthmoving and heavy mobile equipment. The successful applicant will work independently and as part of a team, ensuring machinery is maintained to a high standard and remains safe, reliable and operational.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on earthmoving equipment.
- Conduct daily and periodic machinery inspections.
- Check and maintain fluid levels, lubrication systems and grease points.
- Identify and report mechanical defects, damage and potential equipment failures.
- Assist qualified mechanics with maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintain accurate service records and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure equipment is serviced in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain service vehicles, tooling and equipment in a clean and organised condition.
- Follow all workplace health, safety and environmental procedures.
About you
- Previous experience servicing earthmoving and heavy mobile equipment.
- Sound mechanical knowledge and an understanding of preventative maintenance.
- Experience carrying out oil changes,
filter replacements, lubrication and general servicing.
- Ability to identify mechanical defects and report maintenance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage daily servicing requirements.
- Positive communication skills and a positive attitude.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Current HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's licence.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
