About the role

Mile End is Australia's first wood-fired Montreal-style bagelry. Our Fitzroy prep kitchen makes everything that goes on our bagels and delivers it to four Melbourne stores every day. We're growing, and we need prep cooks who take pride in getting it right every time.

Key responsibilities

- Prep, batch cook and portion to recipe and spec

- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and food secure

- Pack and check orders so every store gets the right product

- Taste as you go, and speak up when something's off

- Help make the way we work better

About you

- Have kitchen experience (prep, line or production), or can show you're quick to learn

- Care about the details: the right cut, the right weight, the right label

- Are reliable and on time,

- Work well in a small team and leave your ego at the door
