We're looking for a Sales Care Specialist who understands the journey from application to policy issuance and can bring together underwriting expertise, customer service and General Advice to create a better experience for our customers.

This is an opportunity to move into a varied, customer-facing role where you'll proactively keep applications progressing by working with customers and insurers resolving any outstanding requirements including communicating underwriting outcomes, finding solutions and work closely with our sales team to help customers move forward with confidence.

What You Will Do

- Manage applications throughout the underwriting process, from submission through to policy issuance, proactively follow up outstanding items and identify potential delays or roadblocks





- Bring your General Advice experience to customer conversations, helping explain life insurance products and features within the appropriate scope and supporting customers to make an informed decision

- Take ownership of your cases, and proactively work with customers, insurers and third-party providers to ensure any outstanding medicals, reports or requirements are effectively arranged

- Proactively call clients to keep them informed and updated about their applications and underwriting progress

- Communicate underwriting outcomes, including exclusions, premium loadings, amended terms and declined applications

- Customer first approach in discussing alternatives, and prepare amendments/reductions to the cover

- Build rapport and trust, handle objections, and deliver tailored solutions that addresses customers needs

- Work collaboratively with other team members, insurers and stakeholders to achieve effective, timely and consistent underwriting outcomes

- Ensure all activity complies with Quality Assurance, Duty of Reasonable Care, compliance and industry regulations

Who We Are Looking For

- Experience in the Australian life insurance industry,



ideally in underwriting support, customer service, administration or a similar role

- Customer service experience, ideally in a call centre (inbound or outbound)

- Strong customer-first mindset, needs analysis, problem solving and negotiation skills

- Excellent verbal phone and written communication skills, and the ability to explain complex information to clients

- Self-motivation to hit performance targets in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

- The ability to multitask, manage competing priorities and effective pipeline management

- A positive attitude and high standards of professionalism, integrity and compliance
