About the Role

I am partnering with an established Australian agribusiness to find a Senior Financial Accountant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys financial reporting, working through technical accounting matters and improving financial processes. You will support the accuracy and integrity of the financial accounts, with responsibilities across month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting and audit preparation.

Working closely with the finance team and stakeholders across the business, you will help maintain effective financial controls and provide reliable financial information.

The position requires strong technical accounting capability, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare month-end journals, accruals and financial reports.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
Coordinate audit requirements and prepare supporting workpapers.
Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance.




Maintain fixed asset records and review capital expenditure accounting.
Review financial controls and resolve accounting issues.
Improve month-end processes, reporting and data accuracy.

Skills & Experience
5 years’ experience in financial accounting.
CA/CPA qualified.
Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business discipline.
Working knowledge of Australian tax requirements and compliance obligations.
Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits.
Solid attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Transparent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Advanced Excel skills and financial systems experience.
