About the Role The UI / UX Designer will play a key role in helping to develop complex user-centric solutions that directly complement the technical back-ends of the solutions. BHP traditionally deals with dense,



difficult software that is a challenge for users to naturally understand – the UI / UX Designer will be critical in changing this experience.

The fun parts of the role include:
Design and deliver elegant and delightful product experiences as part of a cross-functional digital team
Interview users to gain an understanding of their needs, behaviours and perceptions
Articulate proposed design requirements, visuals and key decisions with Product Owners and customers
Define the visual style and position relative to design guidelines and our design system
Produce and review wireframes and storyboards for digital solutions when necessary
Build prototypes and design tests to validate designs based on customer needs, requirements and behaviours
Tracks user experience metrics and reports on the success of UX improvements
Collaborate with other designers in the team to deliver consistent results
Work with developers to share understanding of the designs and review work for quality control and adherence to the design
Work to implement best practice across Data & Digital to improve development velocity
Document requirements and present findings
