Reliability Engineer | FIFO Perth | 8:6 Roster

ASAP Start | Contract until end March 2027 with potential for extension

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join a major mining operation, supporting the Ore Processing Facility (OPF) and driving reliability improvement initiatives across critical plant assets.

Working on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth, you will play a key role in improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, increasing throughput, and supporting protected, cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities
Provide technical reliability engineering support to the Ore Processing Facility.
Analyse asset performance, maintenance data and failure trends to identify improvement opportunities.
Review, develop and optimise maintenance strategies to improve plant reliability and operational efficiency.
Lead and facilitate targeted Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities to eliminate recurring failures and reduce unplanned downtime.
Develop Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategies and integrate findings into Whole of Life Critical Asset Plans.




Support defect elimination initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Ensure asset management practices align with ISO 55000 Asset Management principles.

About You To be successful, you will ideally have:
Degree qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in reliability engineering within mining, minerals processing, heavy industry or manufacturing settings.
Strong understanding of reliability methodologies including FMEA, RCM and defect elimination.
Experience reviewing and developing maintenance strategies for fixed plant assets.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Knowledge of asset management principles and lifecycle planning.
