Tintino is a hybrid space in Kingston: a specialty wine shop, a wine bar with an ever-changing eclectic wine list, and a seasonal restaurant menu built around the best ingredients at their peak. The wine side runs through everything we do, from what’s poured at the table to what’s taken home.

We’re growing our front-of-house team and are hiring full-time section waiters. We also have casual shifts available.

The role

You’ll run your own section through service, delivering attentive, knowledgeable service and helping guests find their way around the list. You’ll also help in the shop, assisting customers with retail purchases and keeping the wine room in valuable order.

We’re a small team and work closely across the floor, bar and kitchen.

What we’re looking for
Minimum two years’ restaurant experience and/or experience in the wine industry (cellar door, retail, distribution)
Confident with wine service and able to talk comfortably about styles, regions and producers
Minimum WSET Level 2 (or equivalent) preferred
Availability to work a rotating roster including nights and weekends

Pay: Market-competitive salary
Hours: Full time, rotating fortnightly roster across days and nights, including weekends

Casual positions

We’re also taking on casuals. Suited to people with restaurant or bar experience who are curious about wine and food. If you have good instincts for service, we’ll teach you the rest. Award rates including penalties, plus a share of tips. Evening and weekend availability is essential.
