SAIS Hygiene has cleaned commercial kitchen exhaust systems since 2003. We look after canopies, filters, ductwork and exhaust fans for Australia’s leading quick food and hotel chains, as well as clubs, shopping centres and food production sites across six states. Every technician is a SAIS employee. We don’t use subcontractors. Our VIC team is growing and we need reliable people to join it.

The job

You’ll work in a small team cleaning commercial kitchens at night after venues close. Most work is across Melbourne, with some regional VIC trips.
Clean exhaust canopies, filters, ductwork and exhaust fans
Scrape and degrease grease and carbon build up
Remove, clean and refit baffle filters
Work on rooftops and ladders to reach exhaust fans
Protect kitchen equipment and leave the site clean and ready for trade
Take before and after photos and complete job reports
Follow site safety rules and wear PPE at all times

Hours
Around 2 nights per week, generally 2 jobs per night
Ordinary hours between 9pm and 6am, Monday to Friday
Occasional weekend work and regional trips

Pay and benefits
$37 - $39 per hour average rate, paid weekly
Saturday and Sunday allowances on top of base rate

What you need
Full Australian driver’s licence
Full working rights in Australia
Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
Fit enough for manual handling and hands on work
On time, every shift

A bonus if you have: Working at Heights, EWP licence, First Aid, prior cleaning or trade experience.
