Casual Kitchen Hand

Osso Steak & Ribs – Penrith, NSW

As a Casual Kitchen Hand, you will support the day-to-day operations of the kitchen by assisting with cleaning, dishwashing, basic food preparation and maintaining an organised working environment.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality workplace, takes pride in their work and is willing to assist the kitchen team wherever required.

Key Responsibilities
Washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment efficiently.
Operating commercial dishwashing equipment in accordance with workplace procedures.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, dishwashing area and food preparation spaces.
Cleaning floors, benches, shelving, equipment and other designated areas.
Assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks as directed.
Ensuring rubbish is removed regularly and waste is disposed of correctly.
Maintaining clean and organised storage areas.
Assisting with deliveries,



including checking, moving and storing stock as required.
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
Following opening, closing and cleaning checklists.
Supporting chefs and other kitchen team members during busy service periods.
Maintaining a professional attitude and contributing to a positive team workplace.
Completing any other reasonable duties as directed by the Head Chef or management.

Job Type: Casual Pay: $33.50 – $36.00 per hour
