About the role

IKKAI is a Japanese restaurant located in Melbourne CBD. We are looking for reliable and friendly full time team members to join us in either a Front-of-House (Wait Staff) or Kitchen Hand position.

You will work 4–5 shifts per week, with shifts of 5–8 hours between 10:50 am and 10:00 pm. Our restaurant is located at 113 Hardware St, Melbourne VIC 3000.

Key responsibilities

Front of House
Welcoming and assisting customers
Taking orders and serving food and drinks
Keeping the dining area clean and tidy
Supporting the front-of-house team as needed

Kitchen Hand
Assisting with basic food preparation
Plating and preparing dishes
Helping with frying and other straightforward cooking tasks
Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
Supporting the kitchen team as needed

About you
Responsible and reliable
Enjoy working as part of a team
For the Front-of-House role, enjoy providing customer service
Able to communicate in everyday English
Previous experience is welcome, but not essential
