About the role

You will support NDIS participants in their homes and the community, providing practical assistance tailored to their individual needs, preferences and goals.

Key responsibilities
Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting.
Support daily living activities, including meal preparation, laundry and household tasks.
Assist participants to attend appointments, social activities and community programs.
Encourage independence, choice and control while supporting participants to achieve their goals.
Provide assistance with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment and protected techniques.
Assist with medication in accordance with training, participant plans and company procedures.
Follow individual support plans and behaviour support strategies where applicable.
Maintain accurate shift notes and promptly report incidents, hazards and changes in participants' wellbeing.
Communicate respectfully with participants, families, support coordinators and other professionals.




Protect participants' privacy, dignity and cultural preferences.

About you
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or a relevant qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience supporting people with disability.
Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, or willingness to complete it before commencing.
Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, appropriately insured vehicle.
Australian work rights suitable for full time employment.
Ability to maintain explicit written records and use basic digital systems.
Availability to work the agreed roster, which may include mornings, evenings and weekends.
